Spamming of ADC

Postby Beachcomber » Sun Jan 09, 2011 5:57 pm

How many members would support a request to Admin that Sid, assuming he would be willing to take on the job, be granted some modding capabilities to enable him to remove spam from the forum, especially at weekends, when the people at A.com are apparently otherwise engaged?

Why not you and Sid?
Both, I believe, respected members of these fora.

I don't think they would want too many outsiders with a finger on the button but thanks for your comment.

One advantage of having two people is that a system can be set up such that both have to agree it is spam before it is deleted.
Saves any accusations that the one person is biased.

Sounds like a really good idea. I am fed up with reading all this rubbish.

I don't have a problem with it but I doubt that Admin will agree.

Actually there really aren't a lot of Spam posts on this forum compared to others but this one was so blatant that it annoyed everyone (except apparently Admin!)

I'm for it - but why doesn't someone set up a poll to get a result? More people might vote rather than post an answer, and it's annonymous.
