Is there a time limit on how long you are signed in and inactive ( e.g. typing but not hitting submit) ?. Just lost three attempts to do a new post but now succeeded by doing it quickly.

Have had this happen before when doing a considered reply that might have taken 15 minutes to avoid typos etc .

I am logged in all the time but I do have problems with a local neighbourhood forum. Every time I read a post and move to next it says log in again.

What I find strange about this forum is the fact that posts from over a decade ago can be resurrected and even edited or all the text blanked. When I saw a thread Dug up from 2010 recently I was tempted to edit or blank my old post just to point it out.

Just composed a reply and got logged out here and on the corona virus thread.

Won't waste my life doing it again. Any chance of longer login time or dare I say logged in until user chooses to log off please?

Using a different ISP., op system and machine.

Happens quite often, i usually rectify it by launching another browser and sign on from there, then go back to the original browser, hit the back button and the post is still there but even that isn't working anymore, bit of a palava and so very annoying.

Hi olive,
This is a test from iPad with Safari, pauses to let time pass.......writing this long screed
If it posts then it’s over7 mins since I started.

Login on Safari ............username /password and checked remember me box

Sounds like a default Timeout needs to be tweaked...........any iOS Wizards pick this one up please...........

You will need to Post your iOS version
