Forum forgotten password links don't work

Hi, there's a problem with the site password reset function - the links in the reset email don't work, always goes to a 404 page.

I seemed to have changed mine on an older phone and forgotten about it, so was trying to reset on my computer. Didn't work.

Thought best you know.

Just tried it, using Firefox on Windows 10 Pro, works OK for me.

Just tried it and get same as alpineSi................ 404 Not Fouund

Firefox and Windows 10 2004 Home


Added:: Having had a further play........... it now doesn't send the email with the link..........and it's not in my spam folder :)

Tried various flavours of Windows 10 and Linux system............ all with Firefox 77.0.1 Windows & 72.0.2 (Linux )
All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

You're sure the link in the email works? I'm not talking about getting the email, it's the link *in it* that is broken. I had a guess at various permutations of the URL included and none worked.

Yeh I tried a few browsers and manipulation parts of the link. It's clearly broken, most likely after the upgrade I suppose; unless it's been like that for ages.

Gerry did an update In 'About Forum' Thread ..........where this Thread should really be.........I was hoping The Mods would have moved it........ :idea:

Not that we get much if any reaction from Admin............would be nice to see " I've seen it and it's getting sorted" from Admin... :)
