What does the red star mean on the circular "Topics" icon?

I believe it indicates that you have contributed/ posted to that particular topic.

For Example
Click on "Board Index"
then click on "Moving to Andalucia"
You will see a red star on the icon for the variuos topics that you have posted to.
You haven't made many post in "Moving to Andalucia"

The red stars in the icons against the variuos topics ar topics that I posted into.

When you access "About this Forum" you should see a red star against the "cant post" topic as you posted in there. I didn't.

Perhaps the system run out of red stars for you as you post so many times?

Must confess that I hadn't taken any notice of the red stars until I looked for them.
I then did a bit of digging to come to the conclusion what they where for.

You won’t see it if you haven’t posted to the topic.

I have to say that I can’t really see the point of it. If you are a contributor to the thread I think you would know that and not need to be reminded.

Enrique - I bet if you looked at the computer section, there would be some red stars ! They are in the blue/red edged circle (depending if read or not) to the left of the thread title, & just above the little lines that represent text... see them now ? ;-)

When I open a topic there is a red star next to MY OWN postings.
No-one else,excepr me, will see them.:)
