Return of the Old Seadog

Postby BENIDORM » Wed Jan 27, 2021 12:10 pm

First may I thank all of the members who showed true care and compassion with regard to my disappearance for 6 months, the fault being purely because I couldn't log on .

So I'm back with much help from my friends and I have to say that it brought little tears to my tired old brown eyes when I realised that some people did care that I might have snuffed it or may be in need of help..
Much Appreciated Folks.

For the past 6 months I've trudged endlessly around the deserted streets of my Spanish Andalucian Pueblo feeling totally dejected and rejected, abandoned and lonely.
Each time a car passed me I would search the faces of the occupants looking for a friendly face but my disheveled and emaciated appearance put off any would be helpers.....
But now I'm reunited with my virtual A.Com family and I'm very happy and contented and would wag my big tail ..if I could....

Regards,
Gordon..The Old Seadog.

Gordon, glad you are well and reasonably OK.

Good Advice Sid.

And I wonder how many other members have 'fallen by the wayside' , when finding it difficult to sign in ?

Gerry,
Thank you for your best wishes and I hope that you also are coping well with the present situation.

And yes I've got plenty to keep me occupied now and I'm remaining positive.

I've caught up with so many little jobs over the past 12 months , even my sock drawer is well organised and I've discarded all the old friends with holes in them, and they're now arranged in colour order and style...and even I admit how sad that is...

Regards,
Gordon..

Organisation gets jobs done faster. Imagine the seconds that you have shaved off the time for getting socks in the morning? 30 seconds a day, at least as long as you keep doing it, will get you more time for drinking coffee.

At least, thats the way i look at it.

My thing is tools. I have tools all over the place in different drawers and buckets and in the house and in shed .. Just finding the right tool sometimes can be half the time it takes to do a job !

Spanish lad, I know that feeling ! I have tools in my bedroom, in my dining room, in my conservatory & in the kitchen , but strangely enough, very few in my shed or garage ;-)

Thanks CK,
I do hope that we've not lost any members to Covid, but when you don't hear from people it does make you wonder.
Anyway I hope that you are ok, are you in Spain or UK ?

Regards,
Gordon

Welcome back
I was wondering why you hadn't posted for a while. I missed your posts and have to say as well as this your style of debate, which accepts there are various opinions that may differ with your own without having to be derisoryl, I also enjoy your stories as well, which are always interesting and often quite amusing.

Mark,
Thank you for your kind comments and feedback, Much Appreciated.

I try hard not to be too judgemental and I always respect that others may have a different view/opinion to me, so I would always prefer to be a friend rather than an enemy,..... even though the other person is probably wrong. :D .

I really don't care what colour skin or political idiology they follow, they could be black, white, brown, yellow or rainbow for all I care, we are all mere humans trying to survive on this ailing planet...

Regards,
Gordon
