Andalucia.com 27th birthday

Dear Forum Members,

Today is Andalucia.com 27th birthday.

We are not having a party (10th aniv) treasure hunt (20th) or Webinar (25th) but making early plans for the 30th.

We have been looking in the archive and discovered that the current webite is our ninth design.

Here is a copy of the home page from 1996, we thought it looked good at the time.

Notice in the left hand margin, what looks today like a rather old fashioned graphic for "The Notice Board" which was the predecessor system to this forum.

To answer Olives question. Last year was five million page views.

Since 1996? A quick estimate suggest about a hundred millon page views.

We bought our first house here in 1996 but unfortunately did not have internet and such things until until a bit later. Could have done with the advice of buying here at the time with all the problems we encountered first time around!

You're an invaluable source of all sorts of advice and help. I could not have fixed my computer problems or dealt with all the various paperwork and admin that I have managed to do without you lot on here!

When i first joined A.com we had already bought our property a few months prior, however i echo Wicksey's post...i could have done with the valuable advice i later found from here at that time. Over the years i have picked up so much info from here, thanks to the long standing members who have a wealth of experience.
