Public transport from Malaga Airport

Some friends want to arrive at Malaga airport weekday mid afternoon and then catch a bus to Loja.

How practical is this please? Is there a bus or train from the airport to the bus station.? failing that I know there are taxis. Also is there a web site for the frequency of the bus service which I presume is Malaga to Granada? I spent ages looking for a train from Malaga to Loja but conlcuded, perhaps wrongly, there isn't one without changing somewhere.

There is a bus service (half hourly) from the Airport to the Bus station in Malaga. The cost is only about 1 euro (ish). I used it in March and it was very busy and the journey takes quite a while because of all the road works. The bus stop is just outside Arrivals, turn right.

There is also a regular train service, and this is quicker, obviously. You have to walk further to the train.
