Always a difficult one. Different sites perform differently for different people and places.

I get good results from holidayrentals and holidaylettings. ownersdirect have a facility to only advertise for 6 or is it 9 months which is useful.

Never had any joy with the free sites so don't bother anymore.

I have used www.ownersdirect.co.uk to find villas in various countries over the last few years. I think their set up is very good and easy to navigate etc.
