Domestic flights I.D. requirements

Postby ScamBuster » Wed Apr 14, 2010 3:06 pm

Does anyone know what documents are required for an accompanied child to board an internal flight from Mainland Spain to the Balearics? I am getting conflicting results from google, would be grateful if anyone could let me know for sure.

His passport and residents card are both out of date.
If a new residents certificate were obtained for him would this suffice, or is photographic I.D. required?

Thanks.

This isn't meant to be a daft answer but why don't you ask the airline?
Or, at least, have a look at their website. All the information you want will be there.

As a general rule, on internal flights (including the UK) photo ID is essential.

What particular photo ID is accepted is down to the airline - as Gerry says - ask them.

We don't know the airline yet as it is a school trip, just trying to get something in place before they book the tickets (school doesn't know either!)

Thanks for the replies.

School trips can have a special passport for all of the children.
My daughter travelled to France from the U.K. last year and the school refused to take her passport as they had added them all to this special one .
Check with the school they might be doing the same.

Just looked it up its called a collective passport and is EU wide.
