car hire Spain/France

I want to hire a car in Barcelona and drive to a wedding in Carcassonne and would be greatful for any advise as regards which company to use.
The reason for this complication is i had my Spanish trip booked before wedding invite and now i am trying to tie the two trips together and the only airport to connect with Malaga and UK is Barcelona.

Try www.doyouspain.com they are Hertz group, using slightly older/high milage cars, we have used them twice and the cars have been good as was the hire price. The fuel is full/empty but the price we have paid has been comparable with what it would cost to fill the car anyway, so not really robbing us! Both times we have taken it back with a tiny bit of fuel!

Don't forget to ask the hire company if the insurance will cover you in France.
I enquired bout hiring a car to drive to Portugal.
Hire companies in the Malaga area did not include insurance for driving the car in Portugal.

Friends is it true that commuting in Spain is pretty expensive? Incase i want to rent a car for a week and take a tour around Spain, how much would the car rental companies charge approximately?

Mdavid, it depends on the time of the year. We've paid as little as €54 --€150 a week. It does pay to shop around though and book on line.
