Travel insurance starting in Spain

Does anyone know of a UK travel insurance company that allows journeys to start from Europe rather than only from the UK? I seem to remember that there are a few around but I can't seem to find any reference to them. Thanks

Just google your requirements - we did just that last year when we flew from Spain via Uk to Japan. Plenty of insurance options, all done and paid for online.

Be wary of the small print. We took out a spanish one once. Afterwards we noticed that a clause said if you are over fifty you need to get permission from the Doctor to say you are fit to travel There are a lot of well known companies who do insurance for ex-pats starting from Europe.have a google. We finally used Prescotts insurance broker in Gibraltar.

When we do our annual drive across to the UK via the ferry from Santander/Bilbao we use Citybond Suretravel. Web site: www.citybond.co.uk

We also used Globelink and it was very reasonable up to age 65, but then the price jumped quite a bit, still quite realistic though..

This company will also take on pre-existing conditions via their Healthcheck247 site. The annual policies are also more economic than paying for one off trips.
