Spanish Air Traffic Controllers Strikes - July and August

Postby vinuela vinny » Mon Jun 29, 2015 8:31 am

Morning All

Wondered if anyone had any info on the proposed ATC Strikes in Spain on 01, 07, 15, 23 and 31 July (and the same dates in August?)......

There seems to be nothing other than the original reports some three or four weeks ago, in either the UK or the Spanish media.....

Any updates welcomed - the family cometh imminently......

Best Regards

Vincent

Checking using flightradar24 it looked on the strike days that have gone, the service at least at AGP was better than usual. There were no cancellations.

I thought I read somewhere that the strikes had been called off but on2-4
July strikes are planned in France which could cause some delays

We've not seen any reports of anything untoward anywhere yesterday, and presume (always dangerous!) that there was either no strike, or that it didn't affect the travelling masses?

Any thoughts welcomed......

As mentioned previously, flightradar24 is currently giving delay/cancellation figures for AGP (Malaga airport). Yesterday there were no cancellations, and although they show delays, these are flagged after only 15 minutes, so can make things look worse than it probably feels!

I use it all the time when visitors are due. We set off for AGP when they are inbound over Madrid.....

Morning All

just planning for our August flights.....

From the internet reports, the recent Spanish ATC strikes seem to have had minimal impact, but wondered if anyone had any personal experience otherwise?

Thanks in advance

Vinnie

Hola

Today's Ryanair flight Faro to Edinburgh suffered delays; first thought to be Portuguese air controllers fault, then I was told it was the French Air Traffic controllers
