Hi there,
This request came in today.
Any forum member know Setenil?
My husband and I are planning to visit Setenil de las Bodegas next June. Due
to mobility issues I hold the EU Blue Badge. Kindly advise whether there are
any parking bays reserved for EU Blue Badge holders.
Also kindly advise whether driving in the main streets of Setenil de las Bodegas is restricted.
I note that entry to Calle Cuevas del Sol is restricted but could not find
similar restriction for Calle Cádiz, Calle Constitucion, Calle Ronda and
Calle Cuevas de la Sombra. Please advise whether access by car to these
streets is restricted to non residents and if so whether I could seek
temporary authorisation to access area.
Restricted Traffic Zone in Setenil de las Bodegas
Re: Restricted Traffic Zone in Setenil de las Bodegas
Imo their best bet is to park at the hospital at calle coronilla. Is theres any blue badge spots they will be there. Its a flat few mins walk from there to the begining of the famous cave streets/bars. Those streets are restricted to residents only the centre is small and narrow.the parking areas at are either end. We failed to find a proper parking area so parked where the hospital is. If they park there then at least they are at the right end to see the most famous streets

Even driving in these streets is problematic so above is good advice.

Hi all, I don't know if this is relevant but a German friend of mine who is wheelchair bound with M S has suggested that not all municipalities acknowledge a blue badge if the holder is not resident there. I have no idea if this is correct or not but the o p may want to check it out !

The blue badge is EU wide. The problem comes when you move say from germany to spain and keep using your german blue card as a spanish resident which is illegal to do. If you have a hire car its more obvious you arent resident. But if you own a spanish car and use your blue badge theres nothing to show its been used legally.
