I have just logged on to Easyjet and changed my password. Very easy to do and I recommend we all do it.

Of the 9 million customers only 2 million have had credit card, passport etc details 'stolen'. The answer is NEVER tick the box to store your details to 'make it easy next time you log on'. Agree with costakid, though. Change passwords regularly.

I'd read it was 2,208 bank details taken. I never usually save mine but was a bit surprised when I checked my Easyjet account and found that I had at some time, so I've rectified that for the future.

Just got my e-mail from easyjet to say my travel details between Oct 2019 and March 2020 (trips to see my parents) were accessed. Not my credit card or passport details as I don't 'store' them but write them in every time I book. I have been advised to 'Be Alert'. Sounds familiar!

"Our investigation found that your name, email address, and travel details were accessed for the easyJet flights or easyJet holidays you booked between 17th October 2019 and 4th March 2020. Your passport and credit card details were not accessed, however information including where you were travelling from and to, your departure date, booking reference number, the booking date and the value of the booking were accessed."
These were my OH's trips to his dad's. At least no other personal info was taken.

I received the very same email re easyJet data breach and am now being spammed senseless! Anybody else having the same issue?

I had an email with same dates as Lavanda. No spam as yet but as said previously I did change the password.

Hope I’m o.k. attaching this to the Easyjet thread. Had a flight booked with Jet 2 July 5th. Last week they wrote to me cancelling the flight and giving me 3 options. Transfer, take a voucher or do nothing and get a refund. Had until Sunday to make a decision.
Friday received an email from them saying, “We have noted you have cancelled your booking”. What? Now unable to get into my booking and feel I’ve been stuffed.

We had a holiday and flights booked with Jet2 and have had full refunds for both. If you do not choose to alter your flights or take a credit they automatically refund your full amount. You do not need to contact them, they will contact you informing you when they will send the refund.

Has anyone actually received refunds yet for their flights? I've claimed 4 refunds: 27/4 (Ryanair) and 5, 20 and 22 May with Easyjet but not received anything yet.

Jet2 have now admitted they made a mistake. Still to see what they do.

Jet2 refunded our money within a couple of weeks - admittedly after an email giving them a nudge!
I used to cough to disguise a [email protected] I f@rt to disguise a cough.

Good that you got it sorted out with them quickly.. You could move your dates if that is an option or maybe have a look at when you would like to fly if you still want to and check the price across several several airlines...You can book a summer flight for a lot cheaper than you could before the lock down and it might be worth getting a refund and starting again if there are savings to be made - just a thought. The only downside is your next flight might get cancelled but that's how it is at this moment in time.

Yes with easyjet after much tooing and froing, I never ever got through on the phone, but despite having had several e mails saying they would refund me but much rather I opted for a voucher, I never got any further.
So on Wednesday I went back onto the web page, not the app. Got to the refund claim page and filled in the details yet again. Got an email this morning stating that the refund has been made, checked my account and yes it's been refunded.
Now to Ryanair..............
