That's a bit of a change then! I'm surprised they're saying no PCR to enter and nothing about being vaccinated. Presumably they're not worried about the Indian variant coming in.

Thats the general council of Europe agreement. But each country can do its own thing ala portugal and now spain

Mixed info re needing a test etc. I would wait until the BOE. Makes no sense for e.u countries to need one but not others

Gov.uk have published the same info for travelling to Spain from 24th May... no tests or proof of vaccine required for brits travelling directly to Spain from the Uk.
Elusive, maybe it's because the Uk has low case numbers and a high vaccination rate while the rest of the EU is still behind...Or they just want the brits back.
An afterthought - i doubt they will be coming in their droves though, not the best end to a holiday having to face tests and self isolation.

Yes Pamela, not to mention the cost for young families on a budget. There will always be people eager to report them if they don’t isolate on return. Someone in our village had a visit from the Covid police after returning from Milan.

Spain blinked first which seems to have opened some other countries, except for Germany who went the other way and banned Brits. With the high vaccination and low death rate and Covid dropped to ninth place as cause of death it looks political.

Hang on though, a Yorkshire variant has been discovered (Telegraph) going to call it AN-other B so it’s not raycist

Katy the media don't want it to end, they have enjoyed the gravy boat far too long and each time a variant appears it's scaremonger time.
Spain has as you say blinked first, lets hope it all stays positive. If the outcome is good then it will put pressure on the Uk gov.
There will always be the usual curtain twitches ready to run like gestapo reporting people. Daughter has a number of clients telling her it's not right that people should be going away anywhere, then they say are you going anywhere?

Has anyone seen the official announcement about Spanish Borders open to the vaccinated from June 7th?

All I can find so far is the newspaper reports of Pedro Sánchez comments

These seem official which Tango posted. I have read conflicting reports that full vaccinations are required.

I think that is only about the UK.

I was looking for official confirmation that Spanish Borders are open to all vaccinated people from June 7th.

https://www.marca.com/tiramillas/actual ... b4591.html

So far I have only seen news reports and we all know news reports and what officially gets confirmed are often different,

We are taking bets on how long it takes for our uk retired neighbours to arrive. I give it by the end of the weekend. Those retired with houses will just sit it out until they go to green

Elusive - 8 June.

Talking of which, I was fairly sure that I'd read a post well over a month ago about the availability of PCR tests for outgoing travellers from Spain - I think I read that they are available at Malaga airport and somewhere in Torrox.

Does anyone recall this or know about a clinic/testing provider in Torrox (or even Torre del Mar)?

The airport option isn't particularly useful for us as we will be driving via Bilbao.
Many thanks.

Looking for places in Bilbao, I came up with this, which can be done in the centre of Bilbao about 20 minutes from the ferry port.

https://democratest.com/?utm_source=GOO ... gLIm_D_BwE

Should you want to have it done before setting off, they also offer tests in Malaga.

There are various options which depends on how quick the results are needed.

I find it interesting that it is not just the UK which are being allowed in to Spain from last Monday but also Japan who are in the midst of a major Covid outbreak. What don't I know?

Tests at Malaga airport. Does that mean I have to go to the airport 1/2 days before my flight to get the test?
