The dumb thing is the staff in the restaurants can be unvaccinated but not the customers because the vaccine has not been rolled out to the youngest people yet in some countries
In many regions of Spain it is being offered to the 18-30 age group, which is also the group with the most infections. In Catalonia it's as much as 2,000 in 100,000.

Now talk in the media that some EU countries could make UK a red country.

Airlines, businesses, people, all must be going around the bend with the stop, start, green amber and red situation. Telegraph is reporting that the Uk is considering adding France to the red list because of the beta variant..For crying out loud there is going to be one variant after another, we are constantly on stop, start, forward and rewind. Do they really think the world can keep this up.

Unfortunately not is some countries. So you have the crazy situation that an 18 year old can serve a drink to their parents but not sit down and have a drink with them.

According to the Times, some one million in Hungary have been fully vaccinated with the Sinopharm jab. This is approved by the WHO, but not by the EMA- nor is it under trial by the EMA. In spite of this, those Hungarians have been issued the EU Certificate. Whilst the certificate states the type of jab administered, as the UK is expecting airline check in staff to verify vaccine status under the "new" entry rules, it is understandable some in government are dubious about the arrangement.

Why are we all governed by idiots ? How can the UK lot put any faith in airline staff, on check in and at boarding, to police this? What in my Grannie's name are the EU doing issuing certificates for non approved vaccines ? God give me strength.

If being double vaccinated meant people could not infect others with a virus then i might get hot under the collar about this, as it is the person seated next to me with vaccine certificate in hand does not mean they are virus free, all the certificate says is that they have had both vaccines so the whole thing is a complete farce anyway.

Sit me on a plane with unvaccinated people in possession of a negative test cert every time.

I'm a confirmed belt wearer, but there are times when I also like a pair of braces.

I don't think 'fooled' even comes close:

How about duped, conned, bullied, manipulated, brainwashed, indoctrinated? I could go through the whole thesaurus.

Might I also add "Coerced", and in a great many cases simply Scared S***less

I thought that was a good article too and sums it up. I did read an article in the DT the other day that the government was at last admitting that doing mass testing and publishing the results wasn't doing anyone any favours, but that has not been mentioned since in the papers.

I can't see them dropping the test to enter the UK anytime soon unfortunately. The whole affair is a farce and a total rip-off.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/0 ... sed-price/

So many dodgy companies have been set up to do the tests and must be making millions. From the comments I read daily in the DT, there are so many people who never get their result back, or it arrives very late.

Luckily my wife and myself have no plans to go anywhere but I feel desperately sorry for the considerable number of people who have said to us words to the effect of 'I don't particularly want to be jabbed but I want to be able to travel, go on holiday etc without having to be tested and/or quaratined'. Now it looks as though they are back in the same boat as the rest of us except that they have screwed up their natural immune system into the bargain.

Somebody is going to have to pay for this.

French didn’t even glance at paperwork when we entered. Had test to return to UK at local pharmacy, cost 30 euro. Issued with certificate 15 mins later. Some restaurants have been asking to see the UK vaccination proof but many ignore the law. No social distancing.

Hi

Although I downloaded mine using a digital certificate, I still received another copy. in the mail. Anybody registered on the health system in Spain and is a Resident, will get a copy automatically posted to them.
