Flying to UK
Hi all
I'm asking on behalf of friends in Benalmadena who have no internet at the moment.
The question is, although they are residents, they have a UK passport and want to know what tests they need and where to go to enable them to fly to the uk okease?

Re: Flying to UK
All the info is on the gov.uk site. You need a lateral test in spain and you have to pre book two (day 2 and 8 i think tests via the gov.uk site and then quarentine for 10 days thats off the top of my head. Check on the site for exact info

Thank you Elusive
Re: Flying to UK
if double jabbed a fit to fly test in Spain and a single day 2 pcr when in uk. Need to book that and have proof of payment before you fly. May be turned away from boarding if uk test not booked. Random are cheap ish and reliable.

Re: Flying to UK
A friend of mine flew form Gran Canaria to U K a couple of weeks ago, he had all relevant jabs and tests and had to self isolate for 5 days in U K !
Re: Flying to UK
They said they are residents so if jabbed in spain they will still have to quarentine as EU jabs arent recognised yet. Supposedly that will change in the coming weeks
Re: Flying to UK
I know of so many people that got jabbed here purely thinking it would make it easier to travel back to the UK but, months on, it is still impossible unless you want to endure 10 quarantine (unless you pay even more to test and release early). Why EU jabs are not recognised is just a joke, as they must be the same as the UK ones. With all the paperwork, cost of tests and quarantine it all sounds a bit of a nightmare. MY OH is hoping to see his dad this year some time

Re: Flying to UK
Most UG Gov providers are happy with UK Passport details. It worked for me.

N H S, S S number will almost certainly be the same as on the P 45 or P 60 !
Re: Flying to UK
I don't think the NHS number is the same as your national insurance number (NINO) that is on your P60/P45. I have a very old card with an NHS number on it from when I was a child.

No you’re right Wicksey, it’s not the same number.
I don’t know whether or not to buy two tests for them or not as I don’t think they are available on the NHS plus, the Spanish vaccines are not recognised. It’s a nightmare all round!

Re: Flying to UK
Jenny1960, who is asking for an NHS number ?
We have been to the UK recently for 3 weeks, booked all required tests on line and not once been asked for an NHS number.
