Yeah i totall agree re the different check ins for different routes.Pamela1 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 3:17 pm Know what you are saying Elusive but Ryanair had 4 check in desks open...what happened to the common sense of separate queues for lets say Manchester , Birmingham etc as they used to be, this problem started before covid but has become worse because of checking the covid extra information at the desks and when everyone is bunched into the same queue no wonder they are missing flights.

Best be prepared Maureen, it could go smoothly and people end up wondering what all the fuss was about or it could be your worst nightmare if you missed your flight...no one can say how it will on any given day but at least it's good to have prior warning. Knowing how things were when we travelled on the last two occasions i'd allow for no less than 3hrs before departure.
Re: Malaga airport arrivals and departures
My son and grandson have been visiting us and are returning to the UK tomorrow.
Flying with Ryanair from Malaga to Liverpool.
They only have a small carry on bag each.
Pre Covid they didn't need to go to the check-in desks, just straight to security.
Is this still the case?
Where are their Covid docs etc checked?
Cheers
Gerry

As far as i am aware.. yes they can still go straight to security, some people who were on my flight were having their documents checked at the boarding gate.
Re: Malaga airport arrivals and departures
Gerry,
Everything pretty much same in your case. Covid docs checked while in queue for boarding.
I find it easier to print docs now other than be going through phone as there are 3 + passport...
ps..... allow a half an hour more than before....

Hi Cadiz
Thanks for the information.
My son and grandson arrived 2 hours before their flight time.
One hour after arriving they were waiting at the gate for boarding.
All very quick and easy.
Cheers

For departures it was Straight to security if no luggage for the hold and all paperwork checked (kind of) by airline staff at gate. Be prepared and it will be largely stress free
