Planning to travel by sea to the UK in March (earliest cabin availability)
It seems to me that Burgos is the place to break the journey.
Can anyone recommend an hotel ?

Hi Lyric,

Just short of Burgo.......Ctra. Madrid / Irún Km. 203 ................A-1 to you and me.

Always use this one both ways.......Depending on your Ferry times............its a comfortable 3 Hrs to Santander

March best to carry snow chains as you have to cross some high ground North of Madrid and again towards Santander, had to turn back one March Road (A-67) closed (for vehicles without Chains) and I had forgotten to pack them ........caught a ferry two weeks later.

Seconded. Stayed there in September. Plenty of parking. Serviceable evening meal.ditto breakfast. Dog friendly too.Easy to find and nice place to have a wander in.

If you want upmarket the parador at Lerma is lovely and has underground parking but isn’t dog friendly.

Hi,

Hotel Alisa has secure underground Parking............

Ring direct to secure a reservation for a room.

They are doing Evening Meals in the Restaurant but Breakfast (included) is in the Bar.
