What was car parking like there?
I have been to the gardens a few times but noticed that the car parking area was not very large and was almost full with not many people in the gardens.
Cheers

we parked at the side of the road with another 6 or 7 cars, then walked down (the road was blocked "parking full") - the not very big car park was full, they have made car park b about 100m further down the road, behind the lake, which was also full.
we had a 1930 slot, and arrived at 1910 ish. probably should of got there earlier to get parked properly

Yeah from what ive been reading on other sites pick the first time spot if possible as parking is difficult later on.
Re: Christmas lights Malaga botanical gardens
Went last night to the gardens. Got a ticket for the first session at 6.30. Arrived at 6 (quite a big que already) and got a parking spot (just in the first carpark) it was mayhem when we left around 8.30 cars parked everywhere.
The lights were spectacular.spread right around the grounds.standards christmas lights and stunning moving light walkways.well worth the money. There were a few negatives in that the place was a health and safety nightmare. I dont think they do risk assessments in Spain! The pathways were terribly lit. People were having to use mobile phones to see where they were going. There were stewards dotted about but it wasnt well signposted interms of telling you which way to go.just random areas roped off. We ended up going where we shouldn't just to get to the viewing point highlight as we ended up at the exit by mistake so had to take a short cut rather than go all the way around again. It was very crowded aswell. Maybe they should have sold less tickets for each session

they probably say its ok to have a thousand people in the garden.. because its outside.. nothing to do with whole families passing by each other only half a metre away ...
