Malaga airport traffic
Malaga airport traffic
I was wondering if we could create an ongoing thread to monitor traffic at Airports. The reason i say Malaga is it is the one i use most.
The idea be that we share experience as to how long it take for bag-drop, security and passport control when flying out of wherever.
Its difficult to gauge so its just a thought....

Re: Malaga airport traffic
i'll be arriving tomorrow evening so any up to the minute advice would be welcome. I'll try and post if there's anything out the ordinary. Obviously if there's nothing unusual i wont post. Nobody wants to scroll through loads of non-news!
Re: Malaga airport traffic
Security was busy at 9.00 this morning, probably 20 mins to get through. Passport control about 10 minutes. All in all not too bad, seamed a bit like the old days.
Re: Malaga airport traffic
Just to say thanks for 1st post giving an idea of whats happening... i not traveling for a few weeks... if it works it might give people an idea before we travel...
Re: Malaga airport traffic
Arrived on 30/3/22 at 9 pm two minutes at passport straight through at locator. Car hire very busy, very expensive and an older car.

Re: Malaga airport traffic
Just make sure you turn up in good time, i now get there 3 hrs in advance because you never can be certain everything will run smoothly, far better to have to sit around for an extra hr than risk being on the end of a long queue at passport control, that is where i experienced the worst problems and the main cause of some people missing their flights..Things had improved the last time i was there but i wouldn't take it for granted, at least not just yet.

Re: Malaga airport traffic
I travelled back from Malaga on 28th Feb. Back in Spain next week and travelling back 2 weeks later so i'm guessing you are traveling out of Malaga soon, by then you will be able to tell me what it's like.

This may help speed things up, if they all work!

If you happen to be checking in bags let us know how it works... I am traveling from Malaga with EasyJet in a few weeks and need to check-in a bag as a few things not allowed on-board...

Re: Malaga airport traffic
Sorry no check in bags. Security queue took about 10 minutes. Passport control queue took 15 minutes but quite quiet so in busier times I’d allow 30 minutes. Usual Spanish attitude. Masks were worn while they perused our photos and chatting between the two officers meant they didn’t look at us.
Birmingham straightforward as it was all self scanned

Re: Malaga airport traffic
Thanks... can i ask the flight time... Malaga seems to be busiest for about 4 hours around noon in my view... comparing as others may see different pattern...ashtondav wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 8:37 am Sorry no check in bags.
