SpTH form dropped

I hope I am reading this correctly ..... no longer a need for the SpTH form and presumably pre-departure tests for those of us unvaccinated coming into Spain ?

Wi Wicksey,

Entry requirements for Spain

" Evidence that you are fully vaccinated for entry into Spain, including dates of booster jabs.
As soon as you receive your booster, you are considered fully vaccinated with immediate effect.
There is currently no expiry date for booster jabs

OR

Documentation certifying that they have undertaken a COVID-19 nucleic acid amplification (NAAT) test (e.g. PCR, TMA, LAMP or NEAR)
within the previous 72 hours of departure to Spain, or a rapid antigen test (RAT)
taken within the previous 24 hours of departure, and tested negative"

Hardly worth an update then..Those who need a pre departure test still need one.

I think sometimes the travelling advice on websites are a bit behind Enrique. It looked like that article wasn't posted in the Sur until about 7:30pm.

All I can say is hoo-bloody-ray, about time! The Netherlands have also dropped all their requirements, and they were the only other European country to be holding out for Covid passes.

A bit confusing
Our son arrived on 1st Sept, from UK, for a 2 week visit.
He did NOT use a SPTH form; just a vac-certificate.!

The SpTH form was only needed for those of us that are unvaccinated. If you had the Covid vaccination certificate then that's all you needed. It's those of us that are either unvaccinated or had the recovery certificate that are now relieved not to have to do any form filling, or in the case of the unvaccinated, tests as well.

"As of Tuesday, 20 September 2022, the Spain Travel Health (SpTH) portal, both the website and the mobile applications (APPs), will no longer be operational. It will no longer be necessary to complete the health control form to travel to Spain nor to show the SpTH QR code at the airport of arrival."

The SpTH website has all but shut down, so impossible to complete one!

I see from this article that your Brittany Ferries text Enrique was showing this information. They are saying you do still need a test  , but from comments I've read, they seem to have dismantled the checking area at some airports. Any reports back from people arriving here would be useful. My friend arrives in Sevilla next week so I shall see what she had to show at the airport there.

My son and grandson arrived here on Monday at Malaga airport.
Seen 2 signs one for arrivals from the UK and the other for EU arrivals. Went towards the UK one and was directed to the EU one.
Wasn't asked for a Covid test form or SpTH form just a passport.
Cheers

Thanks Gerry. Grateful for any more experiences of coming here via Malaga airport.

My OH now needs to see his dad and we thought he'd be OK, but it's difficult to have the test when you don't have internet access and there's nowhere locally to get one done (and even then they often email the results to you). I think a lot of places have stopped doing them now as they are no longer required for most countries. He has got his original Covid certificate if it just needed to be waved under someone's nose, although it's now out of date.

All good news as I hope to go and see my Mum next month. It will be easier without the tests and forms, that is certain. Let’s hope there is not a slow day on the news desk and some idiot starts to publish ‘new wave of COVID/flu/pox etc etc’ and everyone goes into silly mode again. Hopefully, the news will stick with Putin and nuclear war.

My understanding is that the recent change means that no QR code is needed (or anything else) for arrivals from outside the EU as of last Tuesday.

My wife flew into AGP from Istanbul on Weds and this was the case.

Locally it is looking good Lavanda, according to Sur in English today:
"Malaga province ICUs report zero Covid cases for first time since start of the pandemic"

Only heard it in the Pub yesterday but said cases in UK on the rise again  Last time I read officially it said cases had fallen to lowest level. It could be claimed to have risen to get people to attend the mass vaccinations.

Yes, Katy. It's on the rise in the UK and being counted and reported.

Oh they love it in the UK, they can't wait to ramp up the scaremongering. I think more people are wise to it now.
