The Rincon de Lita in the in the Novo Centre has great food and service and there are also a number of other good restaurants in the centre but they are tourist prices.

For the freshest seafood at reasonable prices head for old Sancti Petri Marina, all the restaurants here get good reviews but the wooden one by the water's edge on the left (as you enter the marina) comes particularly recommended. Sorry I don't know the name but you can't miss it, it's the only one on that side of the road!

thanks for the info' really enjoyed our stay. A strange place though, all purpose built. Much prefer the area nearby.

Didn't manage to find any good places to eat except the Casa de Califa in vejer when we were on our way home. most of the places including the modest beach places had marbella prices without the quality. Do think the people are more amable though.

I will be staying there again for 5 days very soon, Katy. Love their morroccan food! Funnily enough, the co-owner is Scottish!

Best place to eat I think is El Timon in Roche about 10 miles away which is lovely with sunsets over the Atlantic Especially in the winter drinking a brandy next to the huge fires they have. Nothing much around Novo and as you say prices are similar to Costa Del Sol and the food not good. You need to go quite a bit out of Novo unless you just want calamares. Some of the restaurants in the old fishing port are good tho but it depends very much on the catch of the day and there is never a menu. Where was the wedding held Katy?

The wedding was in cádiz, reception at baluarte de los máritres. Right on the sea, don't know if they only do receptions etc but was very impressive, red carpet outside etc. 5 course meal.

The groom is my second cousin born in Cádiz but has lived in new York since he was ten and it was his wish that his grandparents could see him marry here. Novo was the only place who could take a booking for 68.

Silver, what are we supposed to look for when they all have the same menu??
