In case anyone is planning to fly in or out of Bristol airport in the
near future (BA or squeezyjet), be aware that these two airlines
have refused to take off or land flights as they consider the newly
tarmaced runway unsafe when it rains.
(They haven't flown today, fri, and may not in the next few days as
rain is forecast)
In an unrelated topic, I got an email from Monarch offering me an
extra 6 inches for ten quid. As you'll have guessed, this is to do with
increased legroom (they normally charge £15 for this).

At this very moment I'm listening to the Bristol area news on tv and easyJet are advising all customers to turn up for their flights from Bristol as normal and they will then be taken by coach to Cardiff airport. easyJet flights into Bristol are being mainly diverted to Cardiff. There are talks going ahead now with easyJet to find a solution to this major problem.
Since I gave up hope I feel much better!
