Fitter???????? We are in Spain here....you don't have carpets "fitted"....you have rugs here. You store or display them on the wall in summer, and put them on the floor in winter. Hello!!!! culture shock happening here.........

Just because you move to Spain doesn't mean you've got to live like a peasant. Personally I prefer to live in a bit of comfort.

You're a Pajaro...........oh no, I've spelt that wrong.......

Also - culture shock....not. Been here some time now.
