Work in Andalucia

Postby Deca » Wed Apr 25, 2007 2:26 pm

Hello everyone,

I am Cat and me and my boyfriend have been living in Andalucia (Lanjarón) for three months now.
Now the time has come for us to find jobs, can anyone tell me a good place where you can find work? We have tried but our Spanish isn't very well yet (we are learning) and it's difficult when you don't speak it well.

Thanks for the help :D

Warm greetings,
Cat

wheres lanjeron ? i've never heard of it !

best place to get work is the coast. easiest work to get is in a bar or resturant or cleaning, babysitting etc..and thing "menial" , even as a non spanish-speaking person. its hard to get into a spanish company as a non native speaker.

Lanjaron - in the Sierra Nevada, south of Granada, north of Motril. Ever ordered a bottle of mineral water in a restaurant? Chances are it's from Lanjaron. Obviously not the best place for foreigners to find work, so follow Spanish Lad's advice & head down to the coast, maybe Nerja. You should be just in time to pick up some seasonal work for the summer.
Good Luck!

Hola

Have you tried contacting any of the agencies that are located along the coast?

I have used them before to find staff for my business and found them to be very good.

Try them out, maybe they can help you

Hello,

Everyone, thank you very much for the advice :D . Lanjarón is just half an hour from the coast so I think it would be wise for us to search for work there, and to drive home to here  .
We will take a look at the link.

Thanks a lot!

Warm greetings,
Cat
