wooden worktops!!!

wooden worktops!!!

Hi signed for house at the end of Feb -and I still want a wooden work top-against OH advice!!! The only place I have a price from is Ikea but I would like somewhere to measure up sizes themselves-Cartama area-so any suggestions welcome -thanks

Can't help with suppliers but I've never had a problem with IKEA. So long as you look after it a wooden worktop can outlast a laminate and look better! Plus its easier to maintain if you scratch it you can just sand it down. What I would advise is using an oil rather that a varnish. Danish Oil is good and should be re-applied regularly. Good luck!

Try Bauhaus or Leroy Merlin. Much nearer than IKEA (unless you're prepared to wait until August - earliest)
