Pretty much the same here in Gloucestershire Diana. Just watching the stream at the front of the house lapping onto the footpath and shuffling round the sandbags

I reckon the Spanish (at least, those who live in the campo) can give the Brits a run for their money on talking about the weather - every day it is "hoy muncho calor"...or "hay una tormenta....muncha lluvia....agua...sol"!
I suppose that if you are a farmer, the weather is important, but for a builder? Setting time on concrete, perhaps, or can the roof be tiled!  :D

Was having the house painted and the painters kept missing a day and it was dragging on so I told them if they weren't going to turn up one day I wanted to know in advance not wondering if they were or not. Sat am. bell rang at 8am. painter at door and said "Just to let you know we are not coming today as they say it will rain"!!

Been bouncing down all day today.
Went to the pub to see how the no smoking ban is going, was funny when the smokers went out for a cig then came running back in when it started chucking it down, glad i'm not a smoker.
