Maureen Marsh from the Valencia region and Mick Siggers from Albox both the victims of land grab were interviewed on Channel 4's Richard & Judy this evening.

SPANISH PROPERTY
This month the press have highlighted the shocking cases of ex pats whose homes and villas in Spain have been threatened with demolition in complex land disputes their local councils.
It’s feared that this could affect around a thousand home owners in Spain. And the ex pat communities are planning demonstrations outside their town halls to demand that the homes they bought in good faith are declared safe against an offensive by the Spanish authorities to demolish properties built illegally.

Joining Richard & Judy in the studio is Spanish property expert Rupert Bates and ex pats Maureen Marsh and Mick Siggers.

Just watched this, quite scary stuff if you have a property near there.

Interesting that Richard said what could stop this also happening in other countries i.e. Bulgaria, Romania etc

We have Romanian friends, things may have changed since joining the EU but a few years ago, when foreigners were buying property in Romania on A Place in the Sun said that it was impossible for a non Romanian to legally own land or property there.
