We should think now about what support we can give Beachcomber next Monday

We can only imagine the devastaion he will feel when Chaves and Zapatero win crushing victories in the election.

He is too valuable a resource for us to allow him to go into a 6 month depression, so ideas now folks.

I'm not sure it will help, though. I have a supply of Prozac at the ready just in case. Image

Soberano is much better. Not only will you feel happy at the time, even when you have the hangover afterwards it is better than another few years of touchy-feely, all criminally minded immigrants welcome, and damn the economy I'm all right jack ( or Juan). Once the hangover goes if Mr.Chaves & Zapatero are still there, have another bottle, it will at least boost the GDP a little. :)

WEll he will not be alone, Cr**patero is like a slimeball, shiny and slippery, lacking substance.....I am with Beachcomber on this one, Rajoy has more concrete info to hand......but is not so visually appealing......

I think you may be having us on but, just in case, he is the anti-monarchist, red-under-the-bed, atheist, weirdo who over the past four years has slowly but surely brought this country to its knees. Image

What I meant was ........did the other poster think that Zapatero was more visually attractive than Rajoy.

Personally I think Zapatero looks and behaves like a nutter and has bought the county to its knees.

and Monday ? ......................

I'm just interested why you all seem to have a downer on Zapatero. I can see that you disagree with some of his beliefs but how has he badly affected Spain or yourselves? Thanks, I'm just interested.

How about pulling Spanish troops out of an illegal war in Iraq?
Courts set up to deal with violence towards women?
Notice I am avoiding anything too controversial.

Why is it obvious? Why do you assume that I think he is OK? And why did you put a smiley at the end of your comment?

Thanks, Grouser. There was information there and it was relevant but I'd really like to know why some think he is so bad, why do they think that?

Spain and Italy... yes, a perfect comparison but what an indictment!

Apart from the fact that I consider the first of Grouser's points to be a con rather than a pro let's also consider: failing (or failed) economy, housing market in tatters, rising unemployment (50.000 last month alone), appeasement of terrorists (even after the bombings at Madrid airport and resulting in the recent murder of a member of his own party), failure to control immigration (and I mean immigration from third world countries as opposed to free movement of citizens of member states within Europe), encouraging people to have more children by giving them our money while the rest of the world is trying to avoid a population explosion.

Rodríquez (Zapatero) is a vile, anti-monarchist, atheist, demagogue with delusions of grandeur who has no place in Spanish politics and why would a country's prime minister allow his photograph to appear on the cover of a homosexual magazine three time in one month? As one commentator put it "It's not surprising, Zapatero would sell his own @rse for a few votes".

He has already brought Spain to its knees and four more years of him and his socialist maniacs will see it on its back in the gutter.

I don't like him but I am not sure that his policies alone have put spain into the position it is :? I believe it had already started before he took office. I am not sure a change of Government would make any difference just now.

I'm no political forecaster but I reckon he's in grave danger of losing your vote there Beachy!
