So, what should somebody do if their name appears in there?

..apart from worry
...and what are the consequences of doing nothing (which must be pretty common as not many people would check out this site)? Embargo on bank account?

Depends what the problem is but that would happen ultimately.

If you find your name there you should check with the entity that provided it and find out what is wrong.

Sorry, my Spanish isn't quite up to this! How do you find the names?

I think I may have saved myself a few thousand euros had I known about this! We are unable to claim something as the postman didn't deliver the letter. I've been told that it was "advertised" and I guess it could have been on here! :(

Another member asked me this by PM. This was the reply:

Click on 'Búsquedas' at the top of the page.

You will then be presented with several boxes in which to enter information. Put your surname or NIE number in the box that says 'Texto'

Change the date in the box 'Fecha Publ' to the current date. Change the search option from 'Mayor que' to Menor que' and click on 'Buscar'.

You will then be presented with a list of possible matches. Just click on each one to see what it says. If you have a common surname it will also come up with results on everyone else in the province with the same name.

Have you tried typing in "Zapatero" Beachcomber?

My Spanish isn't yet good enough to cope with the BOP site and having searched around it I never found the list of people referred to. Would be interested if someone more fluent could point me in the right direction. Where do I navigate to?

I then clicked on 'ver del texto' and then you can click on 'go to best hit' in the top left.

In the box marked 'Fecha publ' there is already a date showing 01/01/2008 and next to it a box with a drop down menu where you can change 'Mayor que' to Menor que'.

It is headed 'Búsquedas en el BoP' and should be the next screen you come to after clicking 'on Búsquedas' when following this link:

Ok, still don't fully know what this site is about but I'm on it

Putting my surname in nothing unusual came up until I pressed "ver el texto", I then pressed go to best hit......my surname is there with correct forename and a long number after it, what does the number refer to?........what do I do now to find out what crime I've commited?

What is the site actually about?

All help greatly appreciated.

Kenny

This is really interesting. I'm in the Cadiz Province though so I wonder if they have a BOP site too.

I registered for IBI in 2005 and was told it took about 3 years to set up but to start saving as it would be backdated to the date i applied!!

I'm in the UK at the moment and wondering if I could tell if my papers are ready from this site as I will be in arrears as soon as it is sorted.

well I know I can be pretty dim at times (yes, really  )...but this second screen (where you have the opportunity to enter info and buscar etc) just wasn't appearing last night when I was clicking on busqueadas (which was why I was asking for instructions again!!).... for some reason it is now!
So I've just followed the instructions you gave, but when I click on 'buscar' I just get a sort of 'extended' clicking noise and nothing happens.....so what's going on??
POSTSCRIPT....IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING NOW.....MAYBE ALL THE FORUM MEMBERS ARE DESPERATELY SEARCHING ON IT AND IT'S JUST OVERLOADED!

pps...if you're just wanting a general search -- ie you don't think you HAVE done anything untoward but just want to make sure!! -- should you choose 'varios' or do you have to go through each govt department (have to confess I don't know what most of the depts on the drop-down list are!)

Just leave the other search options blank and it will come up with everything.

Modelo 905 is a form for the declaration of alteration of rustic property. Details here:

http://www.aeat.es/wps/portal/DetalleCo ... nu=0&img=0

The Expediente in the reference number.

The BoP for Cádiz can be found here:
