I guess so...

I bet he makes a better price shipping to the UK, seems an ever growing demand here for organic produce.

Not unless a few drivers decide to blockade them.

It's interesting to note that the union that is behind this action only represent 18% of the transportistas.

The only thing we noticed here today was no lorries on the road. Petrol stations appear to be ok, no queues or anything.

Carrefour Torremolinos had no meat today, and very few vegetables. Food riots on the way?

Will this affect the car hire companies, because as you know they normally supply you with a full tank of fuel.
We are coming over on Thursday, i hope it wont affect us with the hire car.
We will be landing at Granada Airport.

I have just come back from an airport run. The roads were totally clear of lorries and I have never seen the traffic running so smoothly round the Malaga ring road.

No bread (packaged loaves), dairy products, or baby foods in our local Mercadona today! And at 11am (there are normally only a few people in with baskets)...today practically the whole town was in, with trolleys, emptying the shelves of what was left!!
What made me giggle was the queue for the in-house made barras...it was 30 deep (no queue) and as soon as the woman was taking them out of the oven they were being mauled off of the shelf!!What a sight!!

...and this was al in a small Mercadona in a very small town!

My daughter flies into Malaga today and she is picking up a hire car (Helle Hollis) I sent her a text to tell her to be sure they fuel the car up - or she may not get back to the airport again. I am sure it is in their interests to do so, or if no one can get fuel, their hire cars will be abandoned all over the Costa del Sol.

Just been to fill up with diesel but the Repsol at Algarrobo exit on the motorway was of out of it. Shame they didn't put a sign up outside as there were loads of us driving in and peering at all the pumps to then see that the deisel pumps had covers on them, then driving out again. The new petrol station on the other side had some but we had to queue a while. A bolshie little Brit tried to jump the queue but the rest of us saw him off ....ha ...... ha  . Gosh, this is good fun  . Can't wait to go to Mercadona tomorrow to see what's left, and from what Karen says, to see the old ladies fighting for a barra :D.

Anyone know how long this is going to last?

OH just been to get a new gas bombona , he said there were no queues and both petrol stations seemed to be as usual. There were only a couple of cars filling up. Haven't ventured into a supermarket yet but got my onlline Mercodona delivery this morning, with no problems.

We have just been for butano, and yes the garage "looked" normal, as cars were filling up with unleaded. Where we are, it is the diesel the garages have all run out of!
