malaga airport parking

Postby tjtops » Sun Jun 08, 2008 10:50 am

Yes, sorry guys....this old one again but please can anyone tell me what the up to date ( ) situation is re free parking? Or what are the charges for long term parking (ie more than 2 weeks)...or alternatively, does anyone know the name of the car park on the 'back way' to the airport opposite Barriada el Penon (or whatever the little walled village is called)....?
Also, (being a wimp)....would it be safe to go wandering around p3 or p4 (and how do you get to P4??) late at night on my return (alone)??

I have just parked at P3 this morning at 6.30am. There were about 20 free spaces but you can also leave your car on the road in that area which is what many people have to do. There is a security guard on duty round the clock so I don't think you will have any problems - also the area is quite well lit. The free bus is still operating regularly.

airport car parking

from experience, the free parking areas are safe and have 24hr security.
I've used them several times and had no problem - the free bus service is 24hrs a day - less frequent at night, about every 30 mins.

alternatively, Parking San Isidro is just over the railtracks and offers free transport to and from airport and is reasonable price

Note though...P4 is much easier (in terms of space) but there is NO bus and it is a real hike to the terminal if you have bags...there are no trolleys!
And yes, I speak from experience!

How long would you say you could leave your car in the free parking?

Wednesday at 10:00, no spaces at all in P3, but found a place in the road opposite.
Shuttle bus still running ok.

I don't think there's a limit but I think the fact that the road layouts and areas seem to be changing each week due to the expansion work there, you may find you've parked somewhere they are about to build on :? I personally wouldn't use if for very long term parking, just a week or two whilst away on holiday.

parked in P3 on Saturday and everything seemed fine although the space seems much reduced and not many places.

we normally park in the car park opposite arrivals, as we only go for 3 days and we normally pay about 18 euros, we havent been away for a while, and this time it was 63,00 euros. has it gone up a lot recently.

I wonder where the people whos cars are thick with dust and left for months are. They did find one person dead in the boot of their car. as for the others where are they.
