Invite by the embassy

Postby bubba » Wed Jul 09, 2008 11:40 am

How many people have been invited to the embassy tea party in Malaga.
We got our invite yesterday, its mainly for people who have contributed to the expat community over the years. I am sure many of you have also received one. see you there.

Just because the embassy is in Madrid, doesn't mean the tea party is, but I suspect a Malaga tea party would be organised by the Consulate. Perhaps it is just a wind up.

The Consulate does organise "tea Parties" people invited are mainly from charity and community organisations.

Very PC there so hope she doesn't make any comments about the UK and immigrants similar to the ones on here

We can confirm after checking with the British Consulate in Malaga, the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain, and the UK Trade and Investment Office for Andalusia that there is no 'Tea Party'.

The original poster has admitted it was a "wind up" and the account has been deactivated.

Such behavior is not in line with this forums stated objective:
"The Andalucia.com forums are intended for those looking for information or resources in Andalucia and Southern Spain"

Hopefully yes. Most of the time she just seemed to go out of her way to upset and annoy people.
Hopefully others will take note.
Thanks Admin for banning her

Cheers

Well that's one down, let's keep our fingers crossed that her mates will throw themselves on their swords next. She will be a great loss to the forum though.
