Storms

Postby HKM » Mon Jul 14, 2008 3:16 pm

Has anyone else had these big storms pass over them today? Thunder, lightning, hailstones, torrential rain! Or is it just in the mountains?

The sky became very black and threatening here an hour or so ago but it has passed on.

I can see the clouds bubbling up behind Maroma and what looks to be up the Malaga valley going inland, but we are sunnny here on the coast ...... shame, as I was looking forward to a drop of rain!

They were over many parts of Andalucia this morning.

I had an appointment to take my car in to have the wipers repaired - that's Sod's Law for you!

Well, Peter if we do get rain it will be my fault as I cleaned the windows the other day - not something I do unless I think we've got a few weeks free of filthy rain

No sorry

My OH's fault, just returned home from India , and of course brought a taste of the monsoon . Got here Saturday evening for the fiesta Des Verdiales in Los Portales and have had high winds and nasty weather ever since! First time I have been cold in 3 weeks!

It started very cloudy here in Mijas but then developed into a gorgeous day. Mind you, no rain or anything else untoward was forecast by the Spanish meteorological office, so once again they were spot on. 8)

We're travelling out on Friday evening; yesterday I emailed my neighbours asking if they wanted anything bringing from England, I specifically said, "and I don't mean rain, cos we've had it in torrents".

Cleary I spoke too soon.........

I wasn't talking about the blades. The whole wiper system seized up - I think it is a known fault in VAG cars of a certain age. 120€ for the repair and a one week wait for the parts.

Do you really pay that much for wiper blades - I don't.

I am not so stupid that I need a garage to change my wiper blades.
