So only of use to holidaymakers and part-timers then, not anyone who has moved here full time without having that account...

Not at all. I moved here full time in 2004. I contacted Nationwide a few months before I took the plunge and asked if there was a problem with the flexaccount as I would be a Spanish resident. They said there was no problem.

(How about giving a family member's address in the UK?)

It has hit €1.16. Get out the bunting. Let the street parties begin. Rejoice I say - rejoice.
(It'll be 1.10 by the week-end probably)

in which case it will probably rise after thursday and then drop off slowly for the rest of the month.

What I read this morning was that on Thursday the ECB is going to announce the introduction of their own form of Quantitative Easing.

I hope you´re right, I´d love 1.25 for end of July if not before.......but it seems so far that the market is more sensitive to bad news affecting sterling than the euro, don´t know why.....do you?

I reckon it is because the gamblers and big currency players can play with a country that has no effective government or fiscal management - although many Euro countries are also "run" by crooks and incompetents, the whole eurozone is too big to be able to influence it.

Our two state pensions, combined, were about 35 euros more this month!
