HELICOPTEROS SANITARIOS S.A.

Postby Dealer » Fri Jan 30, 2009 4:20 am

For everyone’s information.

I have had money taken out of my Spanish bank account by HELICOPTEROS SANITARIOS S.A. (over 300 Euros) even though they know I am now living in Singapore. Even though I was signed up with them for the years I lived in Spain I never used them once. I know people who did call them out and were dissatisfied in fact I was in a bar at in Duquesa when a woman fell cut her head and when called they said they were busy she waited bleeding from her head for an hour before someone took her to the hospital. As they now refuse to replace this money they took from me I think you should all know what a poor service they provide and dipping into my bank account was the last straw. I am not bothered about the money I am very annoyed that they think that they can take money from my account with impunity.

You have been warned if you want to use them!

From experience I know you have to personally cancel the yearly charges with your bank in advance and the payment will be refused when the company attempt to debit your account. You can also cancel a payment which has already been taken with your bank, I think you have between 3-5 days to do so from the date of debit, then your bank will refund the payment back to your account, at least this is what I have found with Solbank. Maybe you should contact your bank to see if you are able to do this?

Sorry to hear you had bad experiences with H.S, we have always found them to be extremely good.

Yes all our Spanish debits do that, I think it's bad practice. I do recommend Helicopteros though.

This should be a warning to you all.

I phoned the bank and they said that no direct debit existed for HELICOPTEROS SANITARIOS, all they had to do was present my bank account number and my name to get the money. This is what the bank told me they did, I thought that bank robbers wore masks and had guns well apparently not!

You think that if they were a reputable company they would return my money without an argument, actions speak louder than words.

Sounds like you have been unlucky, have only ever had excellent service from them and found them well worth the money.I know of a few people who would not be alive today if it had not been for their proffessionalism and rapid response.

Nothing but praise here too, have been exceptional every time we've had to use them

Did you actually cancel the subscription with them in the correct manner? If not then they are entitled to take the money every year until you correctly cancel the subscription. I found this out the hard way by forgetting an online subscription once and they just helped themselves to another year from a cancelled credit card - which, according to the card company, they are perfectly entitled to do.

One sunday night or should i say early monday morning, i had a heart attack, this service was at my apartment with in twelve minutes, worked on me for 3/4 of a hour, then off to Marbelle hospital, i think when they arrived at the apartment, there was a doctor a paramedic and a nurse, so i must say they saved my life, but on the other hand, my Fay (wife) was ill, we was sent to lots of specialists, each one won'ted paying on the spot, 1400 euros later with no results on what was wrong with her, well no one told her, and gave her only pain killers, that you can buy over the counter, but as you know, in Spain the doctors and hospital give you your xrays ect ect to carry with you, so my daughter translated some of it, and then we found that Fay has osterpro'ocise ?? anyone so she read up about it, she stopped eating tomatoes, oranges, peppers , and most of her pains have gone,so we dropped out of the service, we have joined another one , night angels, we think this is out of the frying pan but into the fire,so when this one runs out, we ain't sure, i think i will go and be treated at the hospital???bloody nightmare to know what to do really?

always had a excellent serive from HS , cancel the payment that has been made, I think you have up to about 20 days from the date of the payment to tell the bank to cancel it.

Dealer, i would of thought that if you told them that you now live in Singapore, they will agree that they can not supply the service, and if you just say its been a mistake and thank them for the service in the past, they will refund you, or do i live in cookoo land??

I did tell them I was in Singapore and they knew that I would never use their service but they still refuse to give me the money back.

It's the way they took the money by presenting my name and bank account number to the bank and the bank giving them the cash without a direct debit being in place that I find odd!
