Postby HKM » Tue Oct 13, 2009 4:05 pm

Hi

I am urgently looking for someone who can translate some quite complicated medical text into Spanish.. Does anyone know of anyone? Anywhere on the CDS or inland?

Thanks

Dr Victoria Chacon Centro Commercial Diana, KM167 on the A7 just outside San Pedro de Alcantara. But if the first poster had added his / her location this would have been much easier.

We have started using Doctor Miguel Ruiz recently and thoroughly recommend him. And I didn't find him expensive.

When I google the clinic name it doesnt show up, is that the correct clinic name pls, I am normally a good little google searcher and no clinic details arise ... Also does anyone know what he charges for a consultation at all, any info would be great, I even googled Dr miguel Ruiz, clinica medica, alhaurin el grande and didnt get any sound info :( thank you everyone x

The Dutch guy is Dr van der Meer and he is located near bar rosa roundabout above sol bank.

Dr Ruiz is close to there - his wife practices dentistry at same building. Just go a short way up the hill to outer ring road, and business centre opposite the square where the Black horse pub is.

The final one that I know and use is Dr. Galache who speaks better English than I and he is extremely charming. He is based at Lacibis 2 near the post office, next door to pharmacy, only on mondays and wednesdays - he has another surgery on the coast.Surgery is from 4.30 to 8.00 I think ?
Lacibis is 952596511This last doctor is in a multi clinic - the others are sole practice so you could get an appointment at a different time which may be easier for you .
They are all private clinics and their charges are similar. When you join the practice you will be required to pay approximately 50 euros initially - that would entitle you to a meeting with your chosen doctor I believe. I am on private health care but my husband is not and he also uses this doctor.
Hope this is of help.

We also use Dr Galache at Clinica Lacibis in AEG. Agree his English is excellent and that he is a very pleasant Dr. No idea of the costs as we have Private Health cover.

Hi Guys
I ended up going to see Dr Van Der Meer in Alhaurin el Grande, above Sol Bank on 3rd floor, I found him very nice and helpful, and would certainly go again, he isnt expensive, and saw me very quickly,

I can’t recommend Dr Ruiz highly enough.

I have been with him now for around 5 years, from a recommendation from a local chemist, when he pulled me “back from the edge”. Never rushed and listens and perhaps most of all explains in detail the treatment. He is not a “Take a pill” Doctor. Mention Desert Man and see him smile!!!!

I had a friend in town who had been seen by another and was booked for an expensive prostrate operation and was very worried, not because of the cost but due to the haste of examination etc. After a few 25e visits to Ruiz the operation was cancelled as not needed and he remains after 4 years clear, fit and well  .
