New Dinner Service

Postby Bugsbunny » Mon Nov 09, 2009 12:59 pm

Good afternoon all,

Does anyone know where I might find a nice (not expensive) 4 place dinner service from? Near Torremolinos please.

Thanks in advance :)

I actually live in the UK but am visiting in about 4 weeks time. I plan to get a lot of things from Ikea including furniture which will need to be delivered as we have no transport. I've looked at the Ikea plates etc and they're ok but does anyeone know if they would deliver smaller items (such as crockery, pillows, bedding etc) along with larger items or it is up to us to get the smaller stuff back (somehow)?

Katy, I've not been to Dunnes Stores in Malaga. Don't suppose you have a website address for them do you please? It's only going to be a short visit this time - Thursday to Monday - and we have a lot to do so if I know exactly where we're going and what sort of items to expect to see beforehand, that will save us vaulable time :)

We looked at china in Dunnes in Coin and not much there. You would be better going to Carrefour who usually have a good selection. Would be easy to get a taxi from Torremolinos.

Oh excellent! I like Carrefour. I bet I'll fiind something suitable in there.

Just getting back to Ikea - does anyone know how their delivery service works? I am buying a bed settee, armchair, bed bases, mattresses and a cupboard but also A LOT of smaller stuff. Do you think they would include any of the smaller stuff with the delivery of the larger stuff? I know I will have to pay for the privilege but I don't have a car so there's no way round it unfortunately :?

What about the car boot at Benalmadena on Wednesday there's bound to be some for sale from people moving back the UK.

In Ikea you can hire a van from them to take your stuff away.

You should be able to find something in Carrefour Torremolinos. I think free delivery applies for shopping over 40 €.
