Rebajas?

Postby crazydiamond » Thu Dec 31, 2009 1:22 pm

Hi all and a very Happy New Year to everyone!

Does anyone know when the sales start in the main shopping centres, ie; La Cañada and Málaga? I can't remember if they start at the beginning of Jan or after 3 King's Day.

Thanks :D

In Andalulcia they start on the 2 January. The only problem that where I live in Granada capital it is a local holiday and only the small shops are allowed to open!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose a Spanish sale gives shopkeepers the chance to reduce their inflated prices to what they should be in the first place.
Don't expect a bargain!

No difference to any other country then!
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

Steve,
In the Uk it does seem that many prices seem pretty fair to start with.
Some of the sale prices for furniture and electrical goods look really good ,particularly tv's.
I'm half tempted to buy a tv here in uk and ship it,I have a container going over, but sod's law dictates that it'll go wrong in the 1st week.
I'm in Spain 1st week in jan.....anyone know the best place on cds between malaga and marbella to buy a tv.
Normally I've got elec goods from Boulanger but someone mentioned Carrefour.
any advice welcomed
Thanks.

Surely the reason Spain is expensive now is because of the bad rate of exchange. Just a couple of years ago everybody was saying the same thing about rip off Britain
If you buy a TV in the UK the guarantee is valid thoughout the EU.

I think it's more to do with the attitude of shopkeepers more than the exchange rate.
Not so many customers through the door....put the price up.

i was going to get a 599€ tv from boulanger, but they refused me credit, even tho i had xxxx in the bank, and showed them my ss slips.

so i went to carrefour and got a 32" lcd with hdmi and tdt for 299 € :)
