Time taken for a cheque to clear

How long does it take for a cheque to clear in Spain.
I paid in a cheque today, when can I use the money!!

Sterling cheque or Euro cheque? Cajamar used to take 30 days to clear a Sterling cheque.

A euro cheque. I don't think I have had to pay one into the account before.

I takes three working days and you can draw on the fourth, sometimes they allow you the money on the third day but.......so Tuesday i'm afraid, unless Monday is a holiday then wednesday.

After checking the online banking again, I found out there are two columns of dates, one the date the transaction took place 17th March and the second called "value" gives 19th March. So it looks as though it will be cleared on Friday.
