Endesa energia

Postby Nicks » Sat Aug 14, 2010 1:03 pm

Hi all,

I seem to be having endless problems with Endesa Energia - miss-charging, charging twice in one month for large amounts even when the house is empty etc... have been on the phone numerous times trying to sort it out...

Can we swop over to a more reliable provider (we are inland from Malaga) and how easy is this to do from the UK? Any recommendations on who to go with?

Thanks

Nicks

You are free to change to another supplier. You probably won't get a better deal as all domestic supplies of less than 10kw are government controlled on the TUR (last resort) tariff.

I have changed to Iberdrola and it was a breeze compared to dealing with Endesa. Their website is in English and they do actually respond to emails quickly.

You can sign up for the basic TUR tariff at

Sorry just one more question: did you have to cancel everything with Endesa, or did Iberdrola do all the transferring over for you? I don't trust Endesa to actually do the transferring properly!
Also, were their any hardware implications at the house in transferring over suppliers?

Also do they charge anything for a new contract with them?
Endessa totally screwed me when I changed my contract with them even though I was an existing customer.

To Nicks and Gerry.

Iberdrola handled the changeover. The last bill from Endesa arrived about 2 months late and the Iberdrola bill was exactly on time.

There were no costs involved or any arguments about boletins or hardware.

I get my Iberdrola bills sent by email.

I wish they did telephone systems!!!

Just had a look at your link and putting in a campo address looks a little difficult! They even ask for floor number!! We don't have a street name. Neither do we have 2 surnames.

So how do you fill in other forms?

If in doubt phone them and they will sort it for you.

I've not really had to fill out any forms over here. Lawyer did it all and everything goes out by DD as we are not here all the time. I have my address as on the escitura on a piece of paper in my purse and just hand it over if anyone asks for it.
