Re: English football on Spanish tv???
Hi Julie
What a pain this year. No football on TVE. I watched the Liverpool *beep* match in a bar on on one of the Canal plus channels.I believe that Gol TV has rights for some matches too
I watched a little on the internet of Last night's Man U Newcastle match. decent pictures but not perfect.
Most premiship matches can be seen on rojadirecta
http://www.rojadirecta.org/
A lot of championship matches can be seen too and some from the lower divisions
Edited later
I notice that a team from north London, which plays in red, is not considered as an acceptable word on A.com.

I can confirm that there is no English football free on Nilesat as I have looked.
these are dark days for free tv.

Have been looking in to getting Gol Television.
If you have a new TV which has a card slot in the side for a card (TV has intergrated TDT) you are ok otherwise you will need a box for the card.
In our local town a Gol TV tajeta is €75 which includes the first month free and then it is €15 a month. Media Markt & Eroski wanted €89 and Urende €99 so it pays to shop around.
Last Saturday the live games were Spurs v Man City and Aston Villa v West Ham. No live game on Sunday then Man Utd v Newcastle Live Monday evening.
When La Liga starts they will be showing Madrid or Barca every weekend.
Then of course there are the live games from Germany, Italy Brazil etc........

Not totally correct...As I said in my earlier post I watched Liverpool v *beep* on canal plus..Only problem is that it can only be got via satallite so it would mean a trip down to your local bar.tt wrote: No live game on Sunday th
If you don't fancy that, try Rojadirecta.
Gol tv looks a decent alternative to Sky or setanta Ireland at 15 euros a month though

Gol should be available throughout Spain as it's on the TDT digital platform. You just need the right equipment. tt has posted what is needed to receive it
Re: English football on Spanish tv???
if you get the cam (ie the card) to fit into your TV then it will have to be specific to the brand of tv you have (ie) Phillips ect, if you get the box with the card then you can watch it on any tv any time.
They both cost exactly the same but if you want ever want to watch it on a different tv then its always better to get the box and card.
remember if the TV breaks down then no more gol tv if you get the Cam for the back of the TV.
rumours are that Gol tv has been cracked although I dont know much about it!!!

Why will it?Acen wrote:if you get the cam (ie the card) to fit into your TV then it will have to be specific to the brand of tv you have (ie) Phillips ect,!
All the TV's I've seen use the same form factor common access modules.
Re: English football on Spanish tv???
i have been advised that it is not transferable between TV's.
Re: English football on Spanish tv???
I think that's what the salesman would like you to believe.
Perhaps you/they are correct but I can't see any obvious reason why the card wouldn't work in another CAM.
If you find out the reason let me know. It's always useful to learn these things.

Gol TV should come up in your list of channels but it is scrambled. It was not on my list and despite many attempts at pointing the aerial to Osuna, Ejia, Puebla and Moron I couldn't get it. Then looking at other aerials I changed it from horizontal to vertical and it came up straight away and is now pointing towards Puebla although for you I would have thought Moron would be better.
I had Canal plus last year but it is now €35 a month so Gol is cheaper.

Re: English football on Spanish tv???
From the website
confirms the existance of various types of CAM and not all work with all the TV!!!!! but for those that are compatible it can be transfered.
So possible Samsung and LG have the same CAM but can not be used on a sony!!!!
