Charity organisation or similar to take furniture....
Here in Ireland we have charities that will take good furniture if you dont want it anymore. So my question is.... On the CDS is there a similar organisation that will take good unwanted furniture and give it to needy people ?

Thanks Marina. I'll have some good bedroom furniture (lockers.. dressing tables etc etc) soon to dispose of and it would upset me to have to put it in a skip. I am surprised that there are not a few more charity type places around.

Are their any Spanish charity shops on the CDS?
Thinking about it,I don't think I've ever seen one.
Any reason?
Other than they don't do charity very well.

There you go.
I suppose I've got used to seeing the usual suspects charity shops in every UK High St.
It's supposed to be a sign that an area is going down.!

In our village any unwanted furniture etc is put at the side of the bins, and it dissapears quicker than you can say Jack Robbie
No soporto ver la casa sucia, ahora mismo me levanto y apago la luz.

@ Scotty, we are looking for someone to take the two rattan/wood sofas and matching coffee table that I mentioned in a previous post. It is a very nice set and, if we get someone to take it out of the fourth floor, I wouldn't like to leave it for the vultures to pick up. We have done that with other stuff, that wasn't such good quality, but this set is very good quality. Did you find any charity to accept the furniture that you were trying to donate?scotty wrote:Here in Ireland we have charities that will take good furniture if you dont want it anymore.
