I did have Rasta the Dog, who I rescued from a street in Cartagena, but he now lives in UK with one of my sons..
I do miss him..Rasta that is ..
But this morning as I was sitting in our lounge, sniffing the delicious cooking smells drifting from the kitchen...a bit like a 'Bisto Kid' ..I suppose,when I suddenly became concious of being watched...
I looked out of the window, and there sat on the railings where at least 20 sparrows...
Heck I Thought...!...I've forgotten to put their breakfast out for them...
So I had to rush into the kitchen ,and much to the disgust of my busy wife,I quickly chopped up a load of tasty integral bread...which they seem to love...
I placed their giant bowl outside , and within minutes all I could see was my fluffy friends white posteriors , as they tucked in to their food...
Then I thought ...Oh .. I haven't fed the cats down at the communal bins...so as a Christmas treat I emptied several tins of sardines onto a plastic plate, that I had rescued from a Lidl frozen pie, and toddled off down to the bins ...to see my feline friends...
It didn't take them long to devour their treat, so I retrieved my useful plastic plate..for use on another day, and walked off back home, leaving behind some very contented putty tats..licking their lips...
Then when I got home , my wife presented me with some bones and scraps to feed the several street dogs with, so off I went again to find my rather skinny four-legged friends...I didn't have to look very far..they found me....
What a busy morning I had...
And No I Don't have any Pets in Spain...!
