Intasure new policy

Postby pietree » Sun Dec 26, 2010 11:35 pm

Intasure will now not insure your house in Spain if you live there permanently, they will though if it's a holiday home.

I was able to insure a house I was using as a home in another country with them though.

Does any one know the reasoning behind this?

I've been with them years and I don't know, they have offices in both the UK and Spain. I suspect they are British.

I recently renewed mine and they informed me they had canceled the policy on the Spanish house as It was my residence when I took it out, It is no longer my residence so they can insure it as a holiday home, I thought it was most odd, I should have asked them why they have changed.
