"Went to the Isle of Wight a few days ago and the majority seemed to have at least one baby carriage and another 3 brats"
But surely that is the crowd the island attracts ?

The reason that Spain's weather is so awful at the moment is that we came home on Monday evening and packed the sunshine in with our 10kg allowance of hand luggage.
We have had such hot weather here in Essex that it must be true, it hit 29c today and is set to stay for a while yet.......sorry will send it back soon but it is really lovely to have a HOT easter in blighty and look at all the dandelion clocks on the scorched verges!!

Re: So, how is the weather where you are ???
I am so glad that I am not the only one who is annoyed at the sound and sight of other peoples brats on a sunny day.
Alas the days of mothers pushing a sparking white perambulator have gone, only to be replaced by the scourge of millions of cheap looking baby buggies cluttering up our streets and buses and trains. I cant help feeling that the introduction of baby buggies was the start of the decline in western civilisation.
All that racket and screaming from misbehaving children who could easily walk if there fat parents werent so keen to hog all space on the pavements and carry on regardless.
The only sound I wish to here from the direction of our little angels is the whoosh of air from a slap given lovingly by the mothers of the present day monsters,
I love children, not

I think that baby buggies are banned on the buses in Edinburgh.

Babby buggies are like mini people carriers now. Some have 1 M2 of baby space and another 2 or 3 metres of wheels. They are also double decker with space for another baby down below!
Then there are the Pensioners motorised chariots and they allow them on pavements They glide up silently behind you and they do not even swerve (probably all suffering from dementia!) No horn and there is about 2 seconds to jump out of the way. Saw one elderly woman demolish a market stall last year, she was grossly overweight too and she floated away on her chariot without even a "sorry". Is there some hidden rule that these motorised people do not have to stand in line when there is a queue They barge in right to the front and no-one dares to say anything. I would think that seeing as they are sitting comfortably at least they could join the queue! Not seen many in Spain but the UK is awash with them....do they get them free or what?

Benidorm is full of them, everyone who holidays there rents one, must say it saves some walking, but as people have said a lot who drive them are clueless.
Weather in Adra today, on and and off sunshine but not cold

Brats are the offspring off *wats, children should always be seen and not heard.
The reason society is the way it is today is because of badly behaved children !! in my old hippy days we used to believe the "children are the future" if someone said that to me today I'd ridicule them !!
PS parents should be allowed and indeed actively be encouraged to slap them!!

Not now it isn't, Peter. Grey clouds and a lot of rumbling in the heavens. Nice morning though.
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

We've just had a thunderstorm with torrential rain. Lasted less than 30 mins, now back to blue sky

The weather in Madrid was better than I expected it to be. Longs periods of sun and just a couple of showers. I noticed on the news that there was a tornado somewhere in Cadiz over the weekend.
Anybody see it?
