The English Corredor..

The English Corredor...
Sounds a bit like the title of a film..like the English Patient..perhaps ?
But No ..
Apparently it's me....

I answered the door to a stranger, a very typical 'rural' chappie..
You are the ''Ingleese Corredor, are you not'', he hissed through his chipped and yellowed teeth...
I have some land for sale..very cheap..and I am told that you will know someone who will buy it from me..?
Flipping Heck...I thought..who's told him that.?
Well.... then I thought..yes, maybe I have pointed people in the right direction for buying and selling of various items.. :shifty: ...all legal ..may I add...
Anyway he gave me all of the details , and he went off convinced that I was going to contact him with a willing buyer who is quickly going to give him buckets full of cash... :?
Two hours later, I answered the door again...
This time it was a tiny 'lady'.
You are the 'Ingleese Corredor' and I want you to find someone who will buy the big collection of goat bells and old farming implements that I have...she said in a very forceful manner..
''I'll do what I can'' ...I blurted out...In panic...
So it looks like I may have to come out of retirement....
And now I'm waiting in anticipation for the next knock on the door...
What could be next ?....A donkey perhaps...Or ?...
I wonder what exciting items could turn up...any suggestions anyone...to prepare me....

Regards,
Gordon..The English Corredor...
ps..
If anyone doesn't know what/who a 'Corredor' is...well it could be a man or woman who is a local agent for everything or Mr/Mrs Fixit...Who has contacts...

I was thinking more along the lines of:

“Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity
and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.”

Joseph Heller, Catch 22
