Close Bank Account

Does anyone know if you can close a Bank Account by writing a letter or e-mailing (Caja Granada)?

I doubt if they would accept an email to close it but a letter should be OK. Remember to include all your bank cards cut in half an the cheque book if you have one.

Just to say I wrote to Caja Granada and enclosed a copy of our passports (plus the previous passport number as we have renewed passports since we opened the Bank Account), copies of residency card (expired and replacement) and sent it by signed-for delivery. Our Bank Cards had expired so I did not enclose them.

They have closed the account. So...success!
