Yesterday late afternoon there was a fairly substantial blaze going off the Velez-Málaga ring road - one bit with black smoke (not far from a filling station!) and downwind a fair bit of scrub land blazing.

Well,

I will settle for Seville, a week tomorrow, but just passing through.

It is just after 8pm here in deepest Hampshire. It has gone to a very light drizzle now, but it has been raining since I woke up at 7am. Without stopping !

I seem to remember that this is a forum about Andalucia - and it's hot here!

Working outside at a screaning of eng/france game last night. freezing. thermals on hat and gloves. bet the temp wasnt even in double figures. havnt had a decent summer in the uk for about six years. sat outside having an evening meal once last summer. constant rain and grey skys bar one week of nice weather at the end of may and they are still going on about water shortages yet two days ago my local area was flooded out due to heavy rains and blocked drains that are never cleaned out cause the council and water companies blame each other and say its not their responsibility yet have no problem taking €1500 a year council tax off you which pays for those high up public sector workers to retire to the sun at 55. the irony of it all and the injustice of the wonderful uk. Nice to see france have got it right and are changing the system so those who have worked since they were 18 wont have to keep paying in/working to the new raised level. no mention of this in the uk media though. Not that they want us to know so people can see how they are getting screwed by working and paying into the system since they were 16 yet not been entilitled to a tiny pension until they are 65 yet you only need 30 years of paying in to get a state pension. while others dont start work until their 20's do their 30 years in the public sector then retire on a pension thats been subsidised by the poor buggers who will prob drop dead before they even get to 65 and have been working since they left school.

Can we stick to the weather please.

Rants about the UK are not really relevant.

We were going to paint a wall outside, but too windy today, hopefully the wind will drop and I can then say how long it will take for the paint to dry
